An amazing article written by a cancer survivor, motivational speaker, and a dear friend of mine, Woody Roseland. He just underwent his fifth surgery to remove three cancerous tumors. I am blessed to call him a friend and my prayers and thoughts are with him.
Love you Woody

Woody Roseland is a name you should get to know. Five time cancer survivor, stand-up comedian, inspirational speaker, and all around amazing guy, Woody is making his mark.
In 2007, due to a nagging pain in his left leg Woody ended up in a hospital and was diagnosed with bone cancer, he was forced to stop playing but became a symbol of perseverance, strength, and positivity both on the sidelines and throughout his school. It was at this time that I was just getting to know Woody, we attended school together for a long time and had found ourselves in the same circle of friends. I never left Woody without a huge smile on my face, and despite the fact that he was the one battling cancer he always seemed to be the one holding all of us together.

Woody underwent a knee replacement to rid himself of the cancer and went into remission. Unfortunately the cancer has continued to resurface in his body, including a tumor in his calf that resulted in amputation of his left leg below the knee. But Woody continues to stand tall, he now does stand-up comedy, speaks to schools and emcees major events. He was also recently nominated for the TED Mile High Talk. I encourage any and all of you to check out his website at WoodyRoseland.com!
